About Us

We’re Andreea and Robert – passionate foodies, WSET-certified wine lovers, and avid travelers. Originally from Bucharest, we’ve been calling Düsseldorf home since 2013.

By profession, we both work in the medical field. We chose this path with care and commitment, following what felt like the logical course in life. But over time, we realized that while our work heals the body, our souls were craving something more – a deeper connection to joy, creativity, and culture.

That “something else” revealed itself through the world of food and wine. A world where passion meets pleasure, where stories are shared over a table, and where we found the kind of fulfillment that transcends borders and brings people together.

That’s how The Moveable Feasters was born. Our name is inspired by Ernest Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast. Hemingway used it to describe experiences that go far beyond the moment—memories that stay with you for a lifetime.

This is how we want to create these “moveable feasts” — not just for ourselves, but for others as well: experiences that linger long after the last glass of wine and the final bite.

Our roots are in Romania — which is why many of our events place a special focus on Romanian wine and gourmet culture.
